Fluire
This is one of the first embroideries that I made; it was a nomadic job, which I took with me during a short and painful stay in August 2018, on the island of Ischia. I embroidered the first thread, of conventional cotton, on various beaches, in the car, on the ferry, in the garden of the air b&b where we stayed; it then remained in the work drawer in progress, and I added the other two threads, of organic cotton, at the end of February 2020.
The fabric is a cutout of an old heavy cotton sheet, part of a trousseau of my ex-mother-in-law of Scandriglia, in Sabina; it is not finished on the edges and measures approximately 49 centimeters in width by 47 in height.
